Terms of service

1. What Toolshed is
Toolshed is a platform for building, deploying, and sharing small internal tools. You (or an AI agent working on your behalf) deploy app code to Toolshed; we host it, give it a database, and make it available to the people in your workspace. These terms are an agreement between you and Toolshed (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You sign in with a Google account. Signing in with a work email places you in a workspace shared with others at your company’s domain; personal addresses get a private workspace. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Keep your sign-in method secure; tell us at team@trytoolshed.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content and data
You own the code you deploy, the data your tools store, and the credentials you connect. You grant us the limited rights needed to run the service: to store, execute, back up, and display your content to the people you have shared it with. We do not sell your data and we do not use your content to train machine-learning models. If you stop using Toolshed you can ask us to delete your workspace and its data.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use Toolshed to break the law, to infringe others’ rights, to distribute malware, to mine cryptocurrency, to send spam, or to probe or disrupt the service or other customers’ workspaces. Don’t attempt to access data that isn’t yours. We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these rules, removing access immediately where the violation risks harm to the service or to others.
5. Apps you deploy
Tools deployed to Toolshed run in a sandboxed environment with an isolated database per app. You are responsible for the code you (or your agent) deploy and for the data it processes — including having the right to use any data source you connect. If your tool handles personal data of others, you are the controller of that data and must comply with the laws that apply to you.
6. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed per workspace through Stripe. Plan changes are prorated and take effect immediately. Cancelling stops the renewal — your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and we don’t issue partial refunds for unused time. If we change prices, we will give you notice before your next renewal. If a payment fails and stays unpaid we may downgrade the workspace to the free plan after a reasonable grace period.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep Toolshed fast and available, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guaranteed uptime level unless you have an Enterprise agreement that says otherwise. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service entirely we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your data.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $100 if you are on the free plan). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data caused by code you deployed.
9. Termination
You can stop using Toolshed and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the service or other customers. Where practical we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will give notice — by email or in the product — before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use Toolshed after that means you accept the updated terms.
