Frequently asked questions
Who counts as a seat?+−
Nobody. There are no seats. $20 covers your whole company — everyone who builds tools and everyone who opens them, however many that turns out to be.
What counts as one of the 100 tools?+−
A tool the first time it's shipped. Redeploying one you already have is free and unlimited, so fixing, iterating, and rolling back never touch the number. The count resets at the start of each month.
What happens if we go over 100?+−
Nothing breaks and nothing extra is charged. Your tools keep running and you can keep shipping — we'll just get in touch, because past that pace Enterprise is usually the better fit.
Is there a free plan?+−
Yes. Every workspace can keep 2 tools live for free, no card required, with unlimited people on them from day one. Free tools are not second-class: same company sign-in, same private database per tool, same audit trail.
Can I build tools from Claude or my coding agent?+−
Yes — it's the main way people ship here. Toolshed runs an MCP server your agent connects to, so it can deploy an app, list what the company already has, read a tool's logs, query its database, and roll a bad deploy back without leaving the conversation. If you'd rather write the code yourself, the `toolshed` CLI ships the same folder — `toolshed deploy` turns a directory into a live URL. Both paths run the same deploy, with the same permissions and the same audit log.
What's in Enterprise?+−
Unlimited usage — no monthly cap on new tools — plus custom terms and billing, and dedicated support and onboarding. Everything else is already in Team, so Enterprise is about how you buy rather than a different product.
Can I change or cancel my plan later?+−
Yes. Plan changes are prorated and take effect immediately. Cancelling stops the renewal — your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
What payment methods do you accept?+−
Checkout runs on Stripe and accepts all major cards. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice.
Plans are billed per workspace, and you can cancel anytime. Questions? Contact us.
